marea baja

In this series I swap my native Mediterranean for the Atlantic, my adopted ocean. Water gives way to a new protagonist: sand. The sand surrounds me in a warmer and closer way.  It represents what wind or water end up settling at the foot of these cliffs, to create a carpet that embellishes our arrival at the sea, facilitates our path, sinks us and makes us aware of each step. It seems to me an act of humility and finitude...

The title of this series invites us to stroll, reflect and observe closely. We bring the eye closer to the day to day in which the tide unveils the splendor of the hidden cliffs in a simple and serene way. It is amazing to me how the beauty of nature exists even if you do not observe it, and how it lifts your soul when you look closely at it.
